Chicago kids try out Citiblocs for free at Target Family Fun Festival in Millennium Park

Chicago families interested in trying out Citiblocs precision cut wooden building blocks before purchasing a set can visit the Family Fun Festival Tent at the Target Family Fun Festival in Millennium Park all through the summer until September 4, 2009.

About Citiblocs wooden building blocks
Each Citiblocs plank is precision cut to the exact same shape and size, making it easier for builders to create sturdy, tall, intricate constructions. These simple wooden planks encourage open-ended play by combining to build everything from spiders and snakes to skyscrapers, trains, and rocket ships.

Family friendly activities
Each week of the Family Fun Festival follows a different theme, but the huge tubs of Citiblocs wooden planks will be available for Millennium Park visitors to play with all summer. A corner of the Family Fun Tent is set aside to make space for parents, grandparents, caregivers, and kids to work together to create block masterpieces.

Although Citiblocs blocks are versatile enough that aspiring young builders can create interesting structures with even just a few planks, the possibilities that open up once kids have access to hundreds and thousands of planks are amazing.

Visit the Family Fun Tent on the north side of Millennium Park at North Michigan Ave. and E. Randolph Street. Check out the Millennium Park events schedule for more information about other Target Family Fun Festival events and activities, as well as the themes of each of the remaining weeks.

Where to buy Citiblocs
After playing with Citiblocs planks, children may want to purchase sets of their own. Locally, Citiblocs sets of different sizes can be found at Geppetto's Toy Box and at Toys R Us stores.
